Ventelas

One of the largest cities in the Kingdom of Granthis, Ventelas is home to Duke Irasmus Parvellian and the home base of the Wyvern's Talon Adventuring Company.

In the centre of the city stands Duke Parvellian's castle, built atop a rocky outcrop of granite. In times past as before Ventelas was unified under a single king, this was the central stronghold for this region and it was capable of housing several hundred troops. It was designed to be a self contained mini city where the peasants could flee to having its own blacksmith and stables, and cellars. Now in quieter times, these buildings have been re purposed in to more luxurious dwellings for the Duke and his staff. Although signs of its past do remain, such as a well, and dungeons.

Away from the centre of town lies the temple of Pelor, an circular building with a large oculus in the roof that at midday permits the light of the sun to illuminate a huge golden statue of the god himself.
