The son of Barvid Grayrunner, trusted Ranger of Duke Parvellian, Barty could be best described as a "fop" and a perennial disappointment. He hired the Wyvern's Talon to assist him in landing a killing blow upon an Ogre, the lair of which he discovered in a map stolen from his father, whom he was desperate to impress.
Barty has no recognisable skills to speak of, and excels at literally nothing. The Wyvern's Talon were able to assist him with slaying an Ogre, but it remains to be seen if this will lead him to better things or if his new, misplaced confidence could now become his undoing. Barty has taken a particular shine to Finn Tahmuras, to whom he refers as "Mr Frank", following a misunderstanding of Finn's desire to speak candidly.
