Danril was the son of Andril and Leonna Eridrith, and was part of a long family line of Druids from Arabor Forest. His mother died during his birth, so it was left to Andril to bring him up by himself. Danril learnt the ways of the Druids from his father, and spent all of his life in the forest.

Danril was very well respected by the Elves of the forest, and was especially close to Elodor Dy'nesh and his family from the village of Loralei. Danril hated the Priests and Paladins of Ardonia with a vengence, after they executed his father for what they described as heresy - the use of his Druidic magic to heal a dying villager.

Danril had a tendency to be a little melancholy; he had a love of music and would often play his lute and sing sad Elven ballads. Unfortunately he was not the most naturally talented performer. Danril had spent the last seven years sharing his forest grove with [[Culain]], a young fugitive from Ardonia, who was trained to be a Paladin but rebelled and escaped. Danril guided Culain into the life of a Ranger and taught him much of the forest and nature, and looked upon him as a son.

Culain and Danril travelled briefly with Ariala Dy'nesh and Drakus Brayden, before becoming separated. They joined forces with the [[Wyvern's Talon]] to repel the Orc invasion of Riddlebeck, before ultimately being slain by Garrash, the Orc leader, who had wrested control of the nearby fortress.
